Welcome to Adama, Teacher Project Coordinator!
by Adama Kone, Teacher Project Coordinator
We are excited to welcome our new Teacher Project Coordinator, Adama, to Mali Rising’s Mali-based staff. Although we are sad to see our previous Coordinator, Francois, move on, we know Adama will do a great job in the role. We asked Adama a few questions to help everyone get to know him.
Tell us a little about yourself Adama.
My name is Adama Koné, I am a 33 years old man. I was born in Ouelessebougou but I am currently living with my family in Bamako after graduating from the university of Bamako as a master degree holder in English.
What will your job be with Mali Rising Foundation?
It is a great privilege for me to be working for Mali Rising Foundation as Teacher Project Coordinator in coming years.
What jobs have you had before Mali Rising?
As a former English teacher in the same kind of small, rural school as ours, my background gives me more motivation and makes me more self-confident to be helpful to our amazing teachers.
What excited you about the job at Mali Rising?
To me, there is nothing to be excited about more than helping teachers provide quality education with students as future for the country.
What do you think you will like most about working at Mali Rising? What do you think will be the hardest thing about your job?
At Mali Rising, I think that helping our teachers share their great experiences will be something wonderful I will like. Having all our teachers do great job with students in the same way can be the hardest thing — but not impossible!
What do you do for fun when you are not working?
Hanging out with friends and reading books sometimes are things that I usually do for fun.
