As a new school year looms in the COVID-19 era, we are all worried about sending our kids back to school. This just isn’t the normal back-to-school feeling, is it? As you may imagine, we’re worried about sending our kids in Mali back to school too.
I know you have a lot on your mind these days, but if you are able to spare a thought for Mali’s kids too, would you consider donating to our Back-to-School Safe Campaign?
We need to raise $3,000 to provide the tools and training our kids and teachers need to stay safe in Mali, where online learning just is not an option. Your donation will help us:
Deliver 12 additional hand-washing stations to schools in need of these critical tools.
Teach six teachers to provide regular hand-washing trainings to 100+ students at their schools.
Provide COVID-19 prevention lesson plans to teachers at all 24 of our schools, along with daily morning announcements teachers can use to keep safety foremost in students’ minds.
Help our school Health Clubs promote COVID-19 prevention through a competitive video contest.
And more….
Your $25 donation can do so much for our kids in Mali – your gift could train one teacher to give hand-washing instruction. If you are able to donate $50 you could purchase a whole hand-washing station. If you have $100 to give, you can sponsor one school’s Health Club educational video contest. And $250 could underwrite the entire creation of our health lesson plan package for our 24 schools. Whatever you can give will truly help our kids.
We know these are hard times for many of us, but if you are able to help keep our students safe we thank you from the bottom of our heart. Take care, be safe, and stay healthy.
