A Call for U.S. Students' Help: Two Ways To Be Involved

By Merritt Frey, Executive Director

We believe Mali's kids can change the world for the better...but we also believe kids right here in the U.S. can do the same. That's why we have two great ways for high school students to get involved and make a difference:

  1. Speak out in our brand-new Speech Up! Video ContestThis contest asks high school students to create a compelling argument around an important international education issue, and deliver that argument in a short video presentation. Winners receive a cash award and prizes. Learn more.

  2. Become a Youth Ambassador. We are looking for 10 curious, energetic high school students who would like to help our students in Mali while building their own skills and college resume. This school year-long program is a great way to explore another culture while we are all stuck close to home. Learn more and apply before September 30.
