Did your New Year’s resolutions include a commitment to volunteer more? Or maybe to practice acts of kindness? Or just to generally be a better person? We’re here to help! We have a volunteer gig you can do from your own home….even while watching Netflix: the Notes of Encouragement Campaign.
The Notes of Encouragement Campaign asks volunteers to write short, fun notes with positive messages to our students in Mali. These notes are fun for our students to receive, give them a little bit of a boost, and provide a fun way to practice English.
Our goal for the 23/24 school year is provide a note to every single one of our students — that’s nearly 4,000 notes! We are about one-third of the way there. Can you help out?
This is a great project if you have just one hour or ten to donate. This is also a really great group or family project for an afternoon or evening. Depending on how much you decorate your notes (or not), we estimate it takes about an hour to create 10 notes (the minimum commitment). Learn more and sign up!
Once you sign up, we will email you written instructions. Once you are done with your notes you will scan them and send them to us…that’s it!
