Sue Taylor Middle School was opened in 2010 in the village of Diorila. The village is more than an hour from the nearest paved road….the trip is dusty and bumpy and occasionally flooded. This school has historically had one of the lowest enrollment ratios for girls, so we are particularly invested in helping village girls get into school and succeed there. One recent result? 100% of the 9th grade girls passed the tough graduation exam at the end of the 23/24 school year!
24/25 Mali Rising priority projects at Sue Taylor Middle School: school committee trainings, principal support, Teaching Assistant Moms, Intensive Teacher Training Project, French Language Intervention Project (FLIP), Girls’ Project, Inspiration Scholar support, Hope Grant entrepreneurs.
